Hello, ladies. I’m director Hyein Kim and thank you for coming. So, my project title is ‘Keyword tour’ and this project is to introduce Korea, especially Seoul, to young British visitors, from 16 to 25 years old.
And I will introduce the project in 4 steps.
First, concept. Before I decided my concept, I found out what young people want in travel, and most important thing was Fun. So based on this, I planned the website concept. Website will give mission. “find out image’s place and take a picture in same position” And visitors solve this like game. And if they solve everything, a small gift will be provided. That is Korea traditional wallpaper images for cellphone. Because these days most people use cell phones every day. So if they get this, and use, they gain the special memory about tour in Korea.
And I chose the color, and that was blue. Because blue reminds people of travel and Korea and UK.
Next, Preparation processes. First, I made a schedule using web site program ‘smart sheet’. This program is very useful. Because it can sharing and fixing everywhere and every time with my team members, if they can use internet.
And I did documentation work. Of course these are all necessary for my website. But i think, especially these documents are important for preparing unexpected event and making my website plan solid.
Next, Output. First, logo and slogan. This shape means location indication icon. And the key at the center means ‘KEYWORD’ and ‘Key’ that connects the United Kingdom and South Korea. And slogan. My website slogan is ‘K – Seoul’. ‘K’ means Seoul’s key places And ‘Korea’. Today, many people know K – pop. So I think, if i make the slogan with similar shape, people are familiar with this.
Next output is video. Because Korea traditional pattern is very beautiful, I used that. And changed that simple graphic for can feel Seoul’s chic mood.
And website. First, homepage has introducing video and it explains how to enjoy Seoul in my website. And go to keyword page, show about the keyword images and, click the icon or image, you can get each keyword place’s information and how to get there. Also it has ‘tip’ so you can get the different tips for each place. Life is about food and stay. It has recommended places and click the image, you can get more information. And it also has a part for vegetarian. And ‘Tip’ page has useful information about when foreigners visit Korea. Last, when visitor finish the trip, send e-mail to this address. They can get these wallpaper images.
Next is Evaluation. First, strengths of my website. First is I care about mobile view. And I thought, if I were a foreigner, what kind of information would I need. So I made ‘Tip’. This page has traffic and Korea’s culture etiquette and basic language for communication. For example, most important sentence in travel, Too expensive! Is 너무 비싸요! Could you give me a discount? Is 깎아 주세요.
And Weakness of my website. I think, recommended food’s number is few. So website couldn’t introduce various restaurant for visitors. So If I make the website one more time, I want provide more restaurants.
